OKeWaste provides professional electronic waste management services, including:
- Secure, logged pickup and documented chain of custody
- Data sanitization and destruction in accordance with NIST SP 800-88 Revision 1
- Issuance of Data Sanitization Certificates for qualifying devices
- Recycling of eligible electronic equipment through approved recycling partners
- Upcycling or reuse of eligible non-data-bearing equipment
Important: OKeWaste does not recycle data storage devices. All data storage devices accepted by OKeWaste are sanitized or destroyed in accordance with the agreed service scope.
2. Relationship to Privacy Policy
Personal information collected through the website or during service delivery is handled in accordance with OKeWaste’s Privacy Policy and applicable Canadian privacy legislation.
Nothing in these Terms:
- Expands OKeWaste’s data handling obligations beyond the Privacy Policy
- Creates warranties or guarantees regarding personal information beyond what is required by law

- You have legal authority to release all devices and equipment
- All data-bearing devices are accurately identified and disclosed
- No prohibited or hazardous materials are included without prior written approval
- Only devices expressly listed are included in the service scope
OKeWaste is not responsible for undisclosed devices, materials, or data.
5. Data Sanitization and Certification
OKeWaste performs data sanitization and destruction services in accordance with NIST SP 800-88 using methods appropriate to the media type.
Where applicable, OKeWaste issues a Data Sanitization Certificate documenting device identifiers (where available), the method applied, and the completion date. Certificates confirm compliance at the time of service and do not constitute insurance or a perpetual guarantee.
6. No Absolute Guarantee
While OKeWaste follows recognized industry standards and best practices, no data sanitization or destruction method can guarantee absolute or future-proof data elimination.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- OKeWaste shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages
- OKeWaste’s total liability shall not exceed the fees paid for the services giving rise to the claim
8. Legal and Regulatory Compliance
OKeWaste operates in compliance with applicable Canadian federal and provincial laws. Clients remain responsible for their own regulatory obligations.
9. Acceptable Website Use
